Limited Liability Partnership "42APPS" ("we," "us," or "our") operates the WhyNote application for iOS and macOS (the "App"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process, and protect information when you use the App and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

When you use the App, you may upload or create content, including audio recordings, transcriptions, summaries, and notes. You retain full ownership of your User Content. It is processed only to provide the core functionality of the App.
Audio files uploaded to the App are processed using speech-to-text models running on our own servers.
Text-based content may be processed using third-party AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI) to generate summaries or structured outputs. We do not send raw audio to third-party AI providers. Third-party providers process data in accordance with their own privacy policies. AI-generated outputs may contain inaccuracies and should be reviewed before use.

These services may collect anonymized or pseudonymized data such as device identifiers, usage events, and app performance metrics. They do not receive your raw audio recordings or transcription content.
The App does not use browser cookies. Third-party SDKs may use similar technologies (such as device identifiers) for analytics and performance monitoring.

We do not collect or store payment card details. We may receive limited subscription-related information, such as subscription status, product identifiers, and renewal and expiration dates. Refunds for web purchases are subject to our Refund Policy; App Store refunds are handled by Apple.
We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide and maintain the Service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. User Content may be deleted when you delete your account.
We apply commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption and access controls. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
